Vandals in Germany damaged a Holocaust memorial and burned an Israeli flag, according to police. They knocked over memorial candles and set fire to the flag at the Grunewald station in Berlin, where the first transfer of Jews to concentration camps took place in 1941.
Increased strength of far-right political activists has been cited for the increase in vandalism at Jewish cemeteries and memorials.
