The Foreign Ministry plans to open a website in Persian on Monday. The site will be called “hamdami,” the Persian word for “clarity,” and will be geared towards Iranian youth. Ambassador to Ireland Dr. Tzion Avroni created the plan for the site, which attempts to refute Iranian state propaganda and give positive information about Israel.
Foreign Ministry officials said they expect the site will come under attack from hackers and spammers, as often happens to ministry sites in Arabic. However, they said, the Arabic site often receives encouragement and requests for more information, and they hope the Persian site will as well.
