Hamas took credit for two Kassam rockets fired at the western Negev Friday - the first time since taking over Gaza that the terror group has said that it was involved in rocket attacks. For the past several weeks, terrorists from a gaggle of groups, mostly Islamic Jihad, have taken responsibility for the attacks. Quoting a Hamas spokesman, Israeli Radio said that the terror group had fired the rockets as "a warning to the Zionist enemy over its aggression."
Several other rockets were fired at the Negev and at IDF forces operating near Gaza on Shabbat. One IDF soldier was treated for shock in an attack.
