Israel May Transfer Four Jailed Killers to Jordan Reported: 20:43 PM - Jun/27/07
(IsraelNN.com) In its session on Sunday, the Israeli government will discuss a proposal to transfer four Jordanians who murdered two IDF soldiers 17 years ago to Jordanian jails, at the request of the Jordanian royal house.
Three of the prisoners – Salem Abu Jaloon, Khaled Abu Jaloon and Amin A-Sana'a crossed the Jordanian border into Israel on November 7th 1990. They encountered an IDF patrol and a firefight ensued, in which Cpt. Yehuda Lifshitz was killed. The fourth prisoner is Sultan Ajlooni, who entered Israel six days later, on November 13th 1990. He infiltrated an IDF position and killed First Sgt. Pinchas Levi. Ajlooni, who was a minor at the time, was also sentenced to life in prison. The soldiers' families have been informed of the planned transfer. Cpt. Lifshitz's family has appealed to the High Court in the past against intentions of releasing their son's killers from the Israeli jail. ![]() Check out the Chill Zone - Funny, Entertaining Videos © IsraelNN Syndications - This article may not be republished freely.
