10 people were lightly wounded from smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in an apartment building in Petach Tikva on Tuesday night. 25 tenants were evacuated from the building, and firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze.

Several fires broke out in and around Petach Tikva on Tuesday, some burning for hours. Firefighters blamed the fires in part on the heat wave, which caused temperatures in the area to reach approximately 42 degrees centrigrade (107 Fahrenheit) on Tuesday afternoon.
