Fishman's Fortunes Up as He Consults Rabbi
Billionaire Eliezer Fishman, who owns half of Yediot Aharonot, Israel's leading daily, as well as a significant share of the cable TV provider HOT, has successfully shaken off a financial slump by consulting a renowned spiritual figure – Rabbi Menachem Eliezer Ze'ev of Rechovot.
News website NFC reports that Fishman has been meeting with Rabbi Ze'ev regularly in the past few months and discusses his business affairs with him, among other things.
Fishman began visiting the rabbi in 2006, after a failed investment in the Turkish Lira lost him around $700 million. He has since made some excellent investments in Russia and India which have put him back on his feet.
