The Commander of GOC Army Headquarters ("MAZI"), Maj.-Gen Beni Ganz, has declared a "training curfew" beginning Friday and continuing at least until Monday. The declaration means there will be no training exercises during this time.
The reason for the halt in training is the severe heat wave which Israel will be subjected to in the coming days. The 'curfew' could be extended if the severe heat does not show signs of letting up.
