Speaking about the Iranian nuclear program, Iranian Minister of Interior Mustafa Pour-Muhamadi said that "when the world saw that the [Iranian] nation was achieving its goal through unity, it surrendered."

Iran's official in charge of nuclear negotiations, Ali Larjiani, said in a Newsweek interview that Iran intends to continue its nuclear program even if additional sanctions are placed upon it. Larjiani is scheduled to meet the International Atomic Energy Agency head, Muhammad El-Baradei, and with EU chief of external affairs Javier Solana, over the weekend.
