Jerusalem Man Arrested With Pipe Bomb

A Jerusalem man from the hareidi-religious neighborhood of Meah Shearim was arrested on Thursday afternoon after police found a makeshift pipe bomb in his possession. Police have accused the man of planning to throw the bomb at participants in the Gay Pride Parade set to take place at 5 PM.

The man said that he did not plan to use the bomb in an attack, but rather had planned to set it off in bushes near the parade route in order to frighten passersby and discourage their participation in the parade. He has been taken to the Jerusalem police station for questioning.
