Right-wing activist Baruch Marzel was taken into custody by police and held for questioning Thursday afternoon after he refused to leave one of the locations along the route of the Jerusalem Gay Pride Parade, set to begin at 5:00 p.m.
Marzel has been a vocal opponent of the homosexual and lesbian march. It is not clear when he will be released.
