Police: Water Hoses Instead of Fire Engines
Attorneys for the Jerusalem police department told the High Court of Justice Thursday afternoon that water hoses could be used to deal with security risks involving fire, at the Gay Pride Parade set for 5 p.m. in the nation’s capital.
The statement came in response to a petition by attorney Naftali Wurzberger who was trying to stop the parade on the grounds that a firefighters’ strike presented an untenable security risk.
