Sydney, Australia is planning to become a "sister city" to Bethlehem, and another local council is trying to set up projects to help Arab Hevron, according to the Australian Jewish News. Mayor Alice Murphy of the Leichhardt Council said that a plan to become a sister city to Arab Hevron was scrapped because of controversy within the Jewish community but that other projects for the city will be developed.
