The European Union has announced that it will send money to the Palestinian Authority in the near future. World Bank officials contacted PA officials to inform them of the decision, and told banks located in PA-controlled areas to allow PA workers to withdraw money immediately.

The United States has also announced that it will resume funding the PA now that PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas has selected a new PA leadership that does not include Hamas terrorists. According to US officials, US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will announce the end of the US boycott on the PA in the next few days.
