UN Pressures IDF to Open Crossings

(IsraelNN.com) United Nations workers in Gaza pressured Israel to open crossings into Gaza on Monday, saying they need more food to distribute to local Arabs. The UN is responsible for feeding approximately 1.1 million Gaza Arabs. According to the Palestinian Authority, the total Arab population of Gaza is 1.4 million.
IDF officials said they would begin shipments of food as soon as possible. Part of the problem, they said, is that Fatah and Hamas terrorists damaged the infrastructure in the crossings during gunfights last week, creating severe technical difficulties.
