Russian-Israeli billionaire Arcadi Gaydamak has purchased 51% of the “Tiv Taam” chain of supermarkets. While the company is worth NIS 448 million ($110 million), Gaydamak paid $200 million for his shares.

Gaydamak’s spokesman confirmed the sale on Sunday morning. He said that Gaydamak plans to make the chain close on Shabbat, and sell only kosher food.
