Deputy Defense Minister Ephraim Sneh outrightly rejected the American "benchmark" plan that details a timetable for Jerusalem to agree to more "good will" measures towards the Palestinian Authority (PA). The plan requires the PA to detail what steps it will take to fight terrorism but does not demand dates for implementation.

“I don’t need anyone to give me an action plan, because we’re already doing it,” The Deputy Defense Ministers told the Israel Policy Forum in a conference call. “There are steps that at this moment we cannot do, and we shouldn’t argue about it,” he added.
