Tent City Taken Down
The tent city created in Tel Aviv by Russian-Israeli billionaire Arcadi Gaydamak has been taken down. The temporary dwellings were created for the use of residents of Sderot, who were offered free meals and free entrance to local attractions as well. Hundreds of Sderot residents stayed in the tent city for the past 10 days.
The residents were given a free bus ride home on Sunday morning. Another 650 residents are currently staying outside of Sderot with help from the Defense Ministry. The ministry has sponsored 3,000 temporary vacations for Sderot residents in the past few weeks.
