A group of women's organizations are threatening to ask their members to stop watching a popular soap opera unless its script is changed. The women's groups are upset about a popular cable TV soap opera – "Ha'Alufa", broadcast on Hot cable – in which a sexual harassment complaint against the prime minister of Israel turns out to be a false accusation. In the show's plot, the woman who filed a complaint against the prime minister is revealed as a part of a political conspiracy, and tempts him on purpose in order to bring about his downfall.
11 women's organizations sent a letter to Ha'Alufa's script writers demanding that they change the script. The organizations claim that it hurts female victims of sexual offenses.
