MK Ami Ayalon, who, along with former Prime Minister Ehud Barak is a candidate in next week’s run-off vote to elect a new Labor Party chairman, said on Monday that he would include others, even his rivals, in the party leadership under him.
He said that he would value Amir Peretz’s contribution to the party even if Peretz was not supporting him in the runoff, and promised to include Ehud Barak in a leadership capacity as well. He remarked that it would be a shame if Peretz simply returned home to Sederot or if Barak returned to private business.
