IDF Set To Replace Soldiers with Remote Control System
A new remote-controlled surveillance system will start to replace manned outposts near the Gaza region in August, according to Mideast Newsline. The new system has been approved by Rafael, the government-owned Israel Armament Development Authority.
"It will remove manned outposts as a target for terrorists and replace them with a system that could spot infiltration activity and provide counter-fire," an official said.
