Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni has formally extended invitations to her counterparts from Jordan and Egypt and any other Arab League country who wishes to participate. The three met in Egypt in May to discuss the Saudi peace initiative which was adopted by the entire Arab League. They are expected to continue discussions of the initiative in their upcoming talks.

The Saudi initiatives offers normal ties with Israel in exchange for a full withdrawal the pre-1967 boundaries, creation of an Arab state in Judea Samaria, and Gaza, and a "just solution" for Arabs who left their homes before and during Israel’s War of Independence.
