Hamas marked the 40th anniversary of Israel’s conquest of Judea, Samaria, East Jerusalem, Gaza, and the Golan Heights by reaffirming its commitment to wage jihad until it conquers not only the land that Israel conquered from Syria, Jordan, and Egypt in 1967, but also all of the land within Israel’s 1948 borders.



Hamas’ refusal to recognize the State of Israel is a source of its ongoing status as an international pariah, despite recent overtures from a few European states.
