Islamic Jihad: Truce Won't Change Anything
A spokesman for the Islamic Jihad terror group said yesterday that his group could join the “tahadiya” period of quiet being proposed by Hamas, as long as it was temporary and Israel halted its campaign against the terrorists.
But there was no possibility of a permanent settlement with Israel, ever, he said. “We have chosen the way of struggle, and it has proven itself. This is the only way open to the Palestinians.” Israel's efforts “to break the will of the Palestinian people” are guaranteed to fail, he said.
