Hamas leaders announced Wednesday morning that their terrorists have smuggled a large quantity of arms and ammunition into the Gaza area during the past week. The arsenal was brought through tunnels under the city of Rafiah, which straddles the Egyptian border.

Israeli intelligence officials have complained of smuggling ever since the IDF withdrew from the area as part of the expulsion almost two years ago. They have reported that terrorists possess tons of explosives and advanced weapons, including anti-aircraft missiles.
