Campaign to Buy Sderot Challah For Shabbat

Reported: 12:15 PM - May/29/07

(IsraelNN.com) Standing Together has organized a campaign to order challah (bread for the Sabbath) from bakeries in Sderot.

“The greatest form of Tzedakah (charity) is helping people with their own livlihood,” the group says. “By ordering challahs this Shabbat from Sderot, we are all doing our part in this great Mitzvah and helping out our fellow Jews in Sderot during their great time of need.”

Orders of challah, rugelach or burekas can be made and paid for in Beit Shemesh (02 999-2805), Ramat Beit Shemesh (02 999-0956), Neve Daniel (02 993 1149), Efrat (052-698-6119 or 02 993-2396) and Elazar (057-761-4246). To become a representative for the project or for more information, call David Landau at 050-5580822.
