Israeli ground troops killed two Hamas terrorists in a cross-border counter-terrorist action in central Gaza Tuesday morning, according to Palestinian Authority (PA) sources quoted by Reuters News Agency.

The IDF has not confirmed the report. The incident occurred about one mile inside the Gaza region. The IDF has relied mostly on aerial attacks in an effort to stop rocket attacks on the western Negev and has used ground troops only for short-range operations.
