Court Order Bans Muslim Burials at Antiquities Site
A High Court order has prevented Muslim burials on grounds immediately southeast of the Temple Mount and which is believed to contain important archaeological artifacts from the First Temple era..
The area is designated part of a national park, but Muslims began using it for burials before a petition was filed in the court. Among those asking for the court order were left-wing author A.B. Yehushua and the Committee for the Prevention of the Destruction of Antiquities on the Temple Mount.
