      Ayalon Waiting Until Morning

Knesset Member Ami Ayalon has announced he will not arrive at his campaign headquarters Monday night and will wait until the early morning for the final results of the Labor party leadership primaries vote. The major decisive result is that incumbent leader Amir Peretz has lost the race and is a distant third. Trailing behind are MKs Ofir Pines-Paz and Danny Yatom.

Preliminary results place Ayalon and former Prime Minister Ehud Barak almost neck-and-neck, with a small lead to MK Ayalon. If neither candidate wins 40 percent of the vote, party members will vote again in a second round on June 12.
