Grenade Attack Wounds Five in Lebanon (IsraelNN.com) A hand grenade was thrown at a Lebanese army patrol at a central intersection in Beirut on Sunday night. According to the local police, two soldiers, one police officer, and two civilians were wounded in the attack.
While police are not yet certain who carried out the attack, many suspect terrorist group Fatah Al-Islam, which has been fighting Lebanese soldiers in Tripoli. The group claimed credit for a bombing in Beirut last week, and said “This is only the beginning.... we are ready to blow up Beirut and every other place in Lebanon.” ![]() © A7 Syndications - This article may not be republished freely.
