Police in Bnei Brak arrested 55 illegal entrants to the city on Thursday. The arrests took place during a special operation in which local police volunteers played a part.
The illegal entrants were all Arab residents of Judea, Samaria, and Gaza who do not hold Israeli citizenship and are not allowed to enter Israeli-controlled territory without a permit. They will be questioned by police. If they are found to have committed no other crimes, they will be released to their homes.
