IDF soldiers arrested Palestinian Authority Education Minister Nasser al-Deen Shaer early Thursday morning in a dragnet that resulted in the arrest of 33 Hamas terror group members in Judea and Samaria.
This is the second arrest for the PA Education Minister; he was picked up previously after IDF Cpl. Gilad Shalit was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists from Gaza last June.
Two other senior officials arrested in the lot included Hamas Mayor of Shechem Adli Yaish and Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) member Hamed al-Bitawi.
Sources said a total of four mayors and three PLC legislators were arrested in the roundup, in addition to the PA minister.
