      Infrastructures Minister (Labor) Binyamin Ben-Eliezer told Army Radio that there is no hope of reaching any type of agreement with the new Palestinian Authority (PA) Hamas-led administration.

      --Danny Ayalon, Israel's Ambassador to the United States, stated that the Bush administration eventually will accept Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's plan for more expulsions and demolitions of Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria.

      --The IDF resumed artillery fire on possible Kassam rocket launching sites following four Kassam rocket attacks on Israel.

      --Defense Minister Amir Peretz told American security official Gen. Keith Dayto, that Israel will not compromise regarding the need to curtail the firing of Kassam rockets into Israeli territory. Peretz said the Arab population in northern Gaza should expel the terrorists who fire the rockets, adding that according to his information, this has already begun.
