Amram Mitzna, who lost to former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon in the 2003 elections, came out swinging Sunday at Knesset Member Ami Ayalon, who is running for chairmanship of the Labor party.
"He is inexperienced and barely has been a Knesset member," Mitzna wrote to kibbutz Labor leaders. "Ayalon is a very nice man but he is not suitable to lead the Labor party," added Mitzna, who is supporting the bid of former Prime Minister Ehud Barak to defeat current party leader, Defense Minister Amir Peretz.
