According to Channel 10, 8,000 of Sderot's 23,000 residents are currently residing outside of the town, because of the intense rocket barrage that it has been subjected to in recent days.
Police said today that 109 people were hurt by the rockets since last Tuesday; most of them were not injured physically but suffered from shock.
Hundreds of Sderot residents who were asked to go back home after spending three days in a Beersheva hotel at the expense of billionaire Arcadi Gaydamak, initially refused to board the buses Sunday. "We will not go back!", they told TV crews. "Putting our children in Sderot again is like lining them up and shooting them," said one mother.
In the end, the residents relented and boarded the buses home.
