Southern District Police Commander Ori Bar-Lev, Sderot Mayor Eli Moyal, and emergency personnel met on Tuesday night to discuss the situation in Sderot following an intense round of Kassam rocket attacks. The police agreed to send an increased force to Sderot in order to assist in case of emergency.

18 rockets were fired at Sderot and nearby towns on Tuesday, and Hamas terrorists have threatened to fire more. Political analysts say that Hamas is attempting to distract Arab residents of Gaza from its attack on Fatah forces earlier in the day.
