Minister of Strategic Affairs Avigdor Lieberman called for an immediate government decision on the response to Kassam rocket attacks on Tuesday night. He called on the government to give the IDF complete freedom to respond in whatever manner army officials see fit.
“The basic obligation of every government is to protect its citizens,” Lieberman said. He called on the government to “stop talking and start acting,” and to put “a high price tag” on attacks on Israeli citizens. He expects the government to decide on an extremely harsh response to the attacks, he said.
A barrage of Kassam rockets landed in Jewish towns in the western Negev on Tuesday evening, injuring at least four Sderot residents and causing extensive damage.
