Several Arab Members of Knesset traveled to Hevron on Tuesday afternoon, accompanied by a large entourage. According to members of the Jewish community, the group walked from the Tomb of the Patriarchs and through the town’s Jewish neighborhoods. The group insisted on walking in the street, local Jews said, forcing two-way traffic to travel in a single lane.
The visit comes shortly after the release of a report by extreme-left groups Btselem and Association for Civil Rights in Israel (ACRI), which accused the IDF of driving local Arabs away from Jewish neighborhoods. Hevron Jews rejected the report, calling it “nothing more than a string of lies, distortions and fact-hiding."
