Arab terrorists fired a Kassam rocket on Israel several minutes ago, but the weapon missed the targeted Sderot area and exploded in an open field in the northern Gaza region. Rocket attacks have continued at an average of at least one a day since the Palestinian Authority (PA) and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert agreed to a ceasefire in last November.

Israel has refrained from breaking the agreement except for rare pinpoint elimination of terrorist cells caught in the act of launching rockets.
