Karadi: Disengagement Earned Police Place of Honor Reported: 11:14 AM - May/11/07
(IsraelNN.com) Moshe Karadi, who was Police Commissioner until last week, said the 2005 Disengagement from Gaza "earned the Israel Police a place of honor in the world."
"A week after I took office as commissioner, the police received what may have been its most difficult mission ever, and I mean the evacuation of residents in the Disengagement," Karadi told NFC. "It looked like a difficult, complicated event to the police," he said, adding that police had trained an entire year for the six-day operation.
