Palestinian Authority Foreign Minister Ziad Abu Amr has been invited to visit Britain. He will speak to British officials and to researchers at Chatham House, formerly the Royal Institute of International Affairs.

While Britain usually boycotts Hamas as a terrorist group, British officials continue to meet with members of Fatah, who they consider to be more politically moderate. The independent Abu Amr in particular is considered to be more moderate than most members of the PA, as he has called for democratic elections, and has publicly doubted the value of suicide bombings as a negotiating tool.
