Bishara: Talks With Hizbullah ‘Day-to-Day’
Former MK Azmi Bishara admitted Thursday that he had talked to members of Hizbullah during the Second Lebanon War, but insisted that the talks were “a normal, day-to-day conversation between Arabs.” For example, Bishara said, when he asked Hizbullah operatives why they were firing on Arab villages and not on Haifa, it was not to direct their rocket fire, but merely part of a discussion.
Bishara also addressed allegations that he passed along secret information about IDF activities. He mentioned the information in talks with local journalists, he said, but “everyone was already talking about it, it just wasn’t published yet.”
