Despite a recent increase in Palestinian Authority police presence in Gaza City, a gunfight broke out between members of rival terrorist groups Fatah and Hamas in the city on Thursday. One man was wounded in the fight. Four others were kidnapped, but were released a short time later.
Approximately 3,000 armed men, affiliated to PA police and various terrorist groups, were added to the Gaza City police force this week. Members of the Hamas force, which Fatah has repeatedly attempted to dismantle, did not participate in the added patrols.
