PA, Israeli Security: 15 Smuggler Tunnels

Israeli and Palestinian Authority security personnel are estimating that smugglers are still using some 15 tunnels in and around the Rafiah area in southern Gaza.

The Rafiah border area between Egypt and Gaza has long been the venue for smugglers to bring in terrorists, weapons and drugs. An anonymous source quoted by Haaretz said Wednesday that at least 10 other tunnels exist, but are not currently in use.
