Deputy Defense Minister Slams World Bank Report

Deputy Defense Minister Ephraim Sneh has sharply criticized Wednesday's World Bank report, which charged that IDF checkpoints and roadblocks have choked the Palestinian Authority (PA) economy.

Sneh said there are far fewer roadblocks than the World Bank stated, according to the Hebrew daily Ha'aretz. The World Bank report uses United Nations data "which is inclined to count every opening in the separation fence, checkpoints on the Green Line, and every two rocks on the road as roadblocks," Sneh asserted.

He pointed out the report failed to point out that "what is making the life of Palestinians...difficult is terrorism."
