German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier met with Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert during a visit to Israel on Monday. He invited Livni to address a meeting of European foreign ministers in Belgium in June. PA Foreign Minister Ziad Abu-Amr will participate in talks later this month, and Steinmeier urged Livni to take advantage of his invitation to present Israel’s views to the European Union.

Germany currently holds the rotating presidency of the European Union.
