Spring Hail Cuts Summer Fruit Crop
Spring hailstorms have damaged crops of summer fruit, causing some shortages and higher prices. In the Galilee, farmers report that a large amount of apricots was destroyed by the last month's hailstorm.
Nectarines and peaches also were affected both in the North and in the South, and prices are expected to rise after the harvest begins in July.
