Transportation and Road Safety Minister Shaul Mofaz has proposed a new unity government as a resolution to the present political crisis.
The former IDF Chief of Staff and former Defense Minister said, "In the situation that has resulted [from the Winograd Committee report], we need a unity government headed by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to safeguard the unity of the people and the possibility to manage the government under present circumstances."
