Saudi Arabia plans to donate $250 million to the Palestinian Authority, according to PA Finance Minister Salam Fayad. PA officials have been increasing their efforts to collect donations abroad as a widespread boycott of the PA continues.

Many countries do not want to donate to the PA as long as it is controlled by Hamas, which is internationally recognized as a terrorist group. Most have continued to donate money to local Arabs, but prefer to do so through non-governmental organizations.
