The IDF held a large air, ground and tank exercise Thursday in the Judean Desert, and officers said the maneuvers are aimed to drill soldiers in the case of war with Syria. The exercise included hundreds of the advanced Merkava tank, which has been challenged by an advanced Russian-made tank that is possessed by Syria.
"We are preparing for the possibility of war on all fronts," said Col. Roni Belkin. "To do that, we need to find a solution for a wide range of scenarios."
