A young Jewish woman was attacked by two Arab men in a Marseille train station on Thursday. The men ripped the Star of David necklace from the woman’s neck and painted a swastika on her stomach.

The attackers then fled the scene, and police have not yet found them. Jewish Agency Chairman Zeev Bielsky called the attack “barbaric,” and said that the agency is working to ensure that the presidential candidates in France’s upcoming elections will address the issue of anti-Semitic attacks, which have increased dramatically in frequency in the past few years.
